Yippee!!!

Remember this post? I love that these guys like to have a little bit of fun with life!

And, watching them grow....even as they jump!

So, another door closes, and we are finished with Intermediate School...and moving right on over to Jr. High.

The summer of lasts....starts right now!

As we watched the graduates of 2012 walk the field tonite, I was so proud of them. And the people that they don't even know that they are yet.

I also was watching, and soaking it all in......knowing that in LESS than 365 days, my big guy will be walking that same field.

Wrapping it all up. In one nice, and tidy package...with a tassel.

So, let's start RIGHT NOW.

One thing I do know for sure, is this: we have a year of so many emotions and moments ahead of us.
So many firsts. So many lasts. So many ONLYs.

Because we don't know what next summer holds, with potential colleges, welcome events, jobs, summer programs, etc

We plan to start right now. Making the most of every single second.

We plan to vacation like never before. We plan to spend lots of time "playing" and enjoying these days, and quite honestly, just spending as much "the 4 of us" time as we can.

Yes, there is lots of work to be done, and lots of things to take care of, but we also want to make the very most of these days as we can.

So, Sweet Summahtime...you are welcome here!!!
Let's do this!

Did we seriously pray for this?!

Remember in this post...when we prayed...and prayed...and prayed Mrs Smith right out of this house.

And one of my prayers (because I already KNEW that God wanted us to have this house) was that we would make this our home. And we would serve Him in it. And that we would open it up, and fill it with love.

Yes. Indeed.

As I watched all of these football players fill my driveway, and my living room, and my kitchen. I almost physically felt God tap me on the shoulder and say "good job, girl".

Now...I'm not patting myself on the back, per se.....and we don't live like angels. But, for once, maybe we did something right.
It's funny how as your kids grow. Your perspective changes. And how you view other kids differently.

These are NOT the kids that when Mason was little, that I just *knew* he would be friends with forever. Because of their parents, or what I thought would be his "group" of friends. I am so very happy that God had a better plan in mind.
Because these ARE the kids that I am thankful Mason hangs with...good kids. Great kids. Sweet, kind, warm polite kids.
Yes, they are kids...and yes, they can "act a fool" with the best of them. But this bunch. I love them to bits!

I love a spirit filled teenager...

I am pretty lucky. To be honest.
When Scott and I started dating, he was working with our youth group at church. Honestly, they were our first set of "married friends"....

And, we worked together in Youth Ministry for years...and then just about the time Mason began his pre-teen years, God moved us from that ministry.

But, it seems like forever, we have been surrounded by teenagers.

Some good..well, some can be thugs, sure. But can't we all.

Anyways, I am lucky enough to be surrounded by some pretty awesome ones.

And the other day, my sweet friend Kayla, who, by the way, is a grownup, trapped in her little youthful body... ;)
shared this pic on Instagram.

What a powerful scripture. Philippians 1:11

Oh, if my actions can just be righteous enough to make God proud.
