Lots to say.........and it's Friday!!!!!!!!!!

The coloring on this one is not so great, but I looooove the way it turned out! Roll Tide Baby!

Half way there..........................13.1 miles on Tuesday! I did it! Man, I was running that last half mile, hands raised in the air, just thrilled to my soul.........what a rush of accomplishment!

Busy weekend ahead! Boys get out of school early today! So, we will play a little tonight. Give away a little ice cream tomorrow at the Auburn Game (no fun!) and then head home to watch the Bama/GA game (roll 'em!!) & hoping to sneak up to the store for ScrapPink!

**And, if you are still reading I need a little help!

Can anyone out there recommend a good book (keep in mind, I am NOT a 'read for fun' kind-of-girl)? A good book about "help-my-previously-perfect-teenage-son-is-hormonal-and-it's-killing-me"??? Anyone??

Refreshed..........

I had a weekend away.......scrapbooking with friends, just for me! No working, no planning, no doing much of anything, certainly not sleeping!

So, although I am tired, I am refreshed, ready to conquer the world (again!). I certainly needed some renewing........the teenage years might just be harder then the preschool years. I am certain.

Marathon training coming right along. Gretchen helped push me Friday, although I only made it 11.25 miles, I felt good about it, I pushed myself, and I gave it what I had, and then some. It was great.

I am so proud of my Scott. He is also in training, and way ahead of me. He is training for the Goofy Challenge (half on Saturday, full on Sunday) so he has to be ahead of me! But, he ran 20 on Saturday, and said (after he got over the initial excruciating pain) he felt great! Great for the rest of the day! I am so proud, because that means his training is paying off. He said at 18, he hurt, bad, and wanted to stop, but he "gutted it out" for the last two. Now, that is pushing it! I love him.

But, back to the real world, and running tomorrow, then working a bit, and wow, the laundry!

Good times, kids, good times!

Fireproof

We were invited to a private showing of Fireproof, hosted by WDJC. The theater was full. The night was good.

The movie.........yes, it was a "lower budget" film, like Facing the Giants, and yes, I do LOVE me some Kirk Cameron........but let me say......if you are married, or think you want to be married, or don't like being married, you need to see this movie. If you have a friend that is struggling in their marriage, go see it. Buy their tickets and take them with you.

A great message, saving marriages, and saving souls, I am not sure I was expecting this impact on such a "not-so-high-tech" movie. But, I got more than I bargained for.

*Quote to leave with: I am going to love him, even if he does NOT deserve it. (man, that is good stuff right there!)

So, all in all, Siskel, here's my review:

Great movie, good actors, storyline good and message great.
Two Thumbs Up!

See you at the movies. Opens in theaters September 26th.

What a weekend!

Yes, I did get a taste of some of the great Chick-Fil-A strips.........for FREE! Fantastic!

Yes, we did have a great family night for Labor Day! Excellent!

Yes, we did "pull 'em through" as the Tide Rolled in for their opener! Roll Tide!

And, YES, I did run the Nike Human Race 10K! There were several of us, and a great day was had by all, for sure! And, still made it to church in time for class that morning! Good stuff!

Susie, Me, and Gretchen.........set out to do it in record time! (bwahahahahaha.....just to complete it was a great thing!)

Now, this is a good looking runner.......

And, hey, Carrie (and Tracy, too)......dang those course markers. The guys came and took them up.........and well, let's just say, Carrie and Tracy finished it, and ran more than we did! Love those girls!
